The INAF calculation system called PLEIADI offers the scientific community the possibility of using HPC / HTC computing resources for a total of almost 50 million cores / hour on over 7000 cores.

The system is physically distributed over three locations but its management is centralized in the logic of having a unitary INAF e-infra management. Information on the project and access requests are available at the address www.ict.inaf.it/computing/pleiadi .

A cluster made up of 72 nodes for a total of 2592 cores is available at the IRA data center

The Pleiadi cluster mainly dedicated to HPC calculation, is used in batch mode with SLURM as indicated in the | EN User Guide for Pleadi@ira]

On the Pleiadi@IRA cluster users also have access to applications and software libraries for the analysis of astronomical and radio astronomical data in use on all servers and workstations of the IRA data center.

Large datasets produced or processed with Pleiades can be sent to the IA2 service for storage with the following procedure for data preservation
